The seamless check-in process was a breath of fresh air after a long day. the blend of old and new in the hotel's design truly impressed us, showcasing a captivating mix of historic charm and modern elegance. Our room, while not oversized, exuded coziness and comfort, with a perfectly balanced bed that provided a restful night's sleep. the thoughtful amenities, such as ample electrical outlets and a record player with a vinyl selection, added a touch of luxury to our experience. We especially appreciated the natural light that flooded the room in the morning, making for a refreshing start to our day. The on-site fitness center, a must-visit for a marathon enthusiast like myself, was exceptionally equipped and maintained. the architectural nods to Merced's transportation history and local traditions added a unique and authentic touch to the hotel's ambiance. With friendly and helpful staff at every turn, from valet parking to cafe recommendations, our overall stay was nothing short of exceptional. In conclusion, El Capitan Hotel exceeded my expectations with its impeccable service, inviting atmosphere, and convenient location in the heart of downtown Merced. I look forward to returning to explore more of what this charming city has to offer, with El Capitan Hotel undoubtedly at the top of my accommodation list.
